Shoot Tools: DVEO Cunima

With advanced camera components available off-the-shelf to small manufacturers, innovative products are coming to market. For example, DVEO is the U.S. distributor for the Cunima HD/SD camera — a small (1.2"×1.4"×4.4"), lightweight (6.4oz.) unit that doesn't need a clunky camera control unit to operate. The camera was the result of a research project between German company Wige Media and the renowned Fraunhofer Institute. With a 2/3in. HD CMOS chip, the sturdy Cunima is shock-resistant and can withstand high G-forces, making it ideal for POV use.
