Last month, we covered the production details of Oliver Stone's peculiar Castro documentary, Comandante. After we had gone to press, HBO decided not to air the documentary, and I received a couple of irate letters for writing about the production. And so I wonder, what is my responsibility? The easy answer would be to say that we write about production and technology, that we don't write about content or choose our stories on the merit of a production's message or aesthetics.
