IP control Extron's IP Link technology allows serial-controlled products (RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485) to be connected to networks based on Ethernet. The new IPL T S2 is a compact (1/4 RU) interface that allows control over projectors, plasmas, switchers, and other A/V products via a web browser. A web server is integrated into the IPL T S2, and its 1.5MB of Flash memory can be used to store HTML, JavaScript, and graphics files for the control interface. Service messages via cell phone, PDA, or email help users troubleshoot their systems remotely.
