WALKING THE LINE BETWEEN 4:3 AND 16:9

Lens adapters, variable mode cameras, and letterbox FX can bridge the 4:3/16:9 divide during the slow TV transition. Somehow, some way, and with some modulation scheme, America will make the transition from NTSC to DTV. And, despite the current lack of a viable economic model, I'm confident our DTV future includes HDTV. HDTV programming will initially draw upon the vast library of widescreen motion pictures.
