Nominations Announced for the 7th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards

Nominations for the 7th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards ceremony were announced on Jan. 19, 2009, in Los Angeles. The nominations recognize outstanding visual effects in over a dozen categories of film, animation, television, commercials, and video games. Nominees were chosen Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, by numerous panels of VES members who viewed submissions at the FotoKem screening facilities in Burbank, CA. The awards ceremony will take place on Feb. 21, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel in Los Angeles.
