HDR-SR12 While Sony's Atsugi, Japan-based pro-camera division is now turning out the prosumer-size PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX, it seems that the consumer division is keeping competitive by offering greater capability with the HDR-SR12. First shown at CES 2008, the palm-sized camcorder captures at a full 1920×1280 resolution — albeit with smaller 1/3in. CMOS chips and at a lower data-recording rate (16Mbps) than that of the EX.
