As DLP technology matures, prices are dropping on projectors so much that even more powerful models are within modest budgets. Case in point: ViewSonic's new PJD6251, an XGA (1024x768) DLP projector that offers a bright 3700 lumens output and a decent 2800:1 contrast ratio, which means it's viable even in bright rooms.
