RAID clusters SeaChange is extending the concept of RAID from disks within a server node to interconnected nodes. Known as RAID-squared, this approach involves striping file data across all the server nodes in a MediaCluster, thus allowing the system to keep content online even after two complete node failures. The Broadcast Media Library (BML) 24000 uses 144GB disk drives to store any type of media, scaling to more than 16TB of RAID 5 storage per rack.
