Victor Alvarez wanted to increase the time patrons were spending in Andale, the restaurant and bar he manages in San Francisco Airport's international terminal. He decided that a videowall would help keep travelers who were whiling away layovers in their seats, buying more beverages and burritos. But space constraints were almost as tight as an airplane bathroom. A 3×3 matrix of CRT monitors was not going to fit.
